Assistant Manager - Credit Risk Modelling Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the development and implementation of models for Credit Risk (including internal risk rating system, stress testing, back testing and validation). You will also monitor and highlight to management incidences of breaches / excess in bank counterparty limits and share financing portfolio.
  • Prepare credit risk reports and analysis for the Risk Management Committee meeting and ensure that the risk framework, structure, policies & procedures remained aligned to the Company’s risk appetite, business and regulatory requirements.
  • Possess relevant modelling expertise in Credit Risk to develop credit rating criteria and appropriate methodology for obligor’s risk profile for SME and retail banking.
  • Possess strong knowledge and experience in model development, validation, documentation and data management skills.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree level - preferably in Mathematics / Financial / Statistics or related subject
  • At least 2 years’ experience in credit risk, having experience in internal credit risk modelling is highly preferred
  • Sound theoretical and practical understanding of credit risk management
  • Knowledge of regulatory / IFRS9 requirements relating to credit risk
  • Accomplished financial modelling, statistical and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel, with knowledge in programming (Matlab) is an advantage
  • Experience in retail and commercial banking products and services
  • Understanding of the structure and risks inherent in banking products
  • Ability to work independently and assume responsibility for project deliverables
  • Strong initiative to proactively find solutions to requirements
  • Thorough attention to detail and accuracy
