Job Summary

A MNC retailer is seeking an Assistant HR Manager to join their expanding team. The Assistant HR Manager will support the HR Manager in overseeing the company's human resources operations, ensuring effective HR practices across the organisation and retail outlets. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll coordination, training and development, and HR policy implementation.

The ideal candidate should have solid HR generalist experience, preferably within the retail industry or an organisation with a large workforce. The candidate should be capable of managing a diverse workforce, supporting business operations and ensuring compliance with Malaysian labour laws and company policies.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human resource management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant HR experience, preferably with exposure to retail, FMCG or other multi-site operations.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian labour laws, statutory requirements and HR best practices.
• Hands-on experience in HR operations, employee relations, recruitment, payroll coordination and performance management.
• Good communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage if required for business communication.
