OT Security Operations Engineer

Location: Penang, Malaysia (Onsite)

Department: Cybersecurity Engineering

Position Summary

The OT Security Operations Engineer is responsible for protecting company's Operational Technology (OT) environment, including manufacturing systems, industrial networks, connected equipment, OT infrastructure, and supporting cybersecurity technologies. The role serves as the primary cybersecurity resource for the Malaysia manufacturing site and collaborates with Global Information Security, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation, Infrastructure, and Quality teams to maintain a secure and compliant OT environment.

Key Responsibilities

OT Security Monitoring & Response

Monitor OT security alerts generated by Nozomi and other security monitoring platforms.

Investigate OT-related cybersecurity events and anomalies.

Coordinate incident response activities involving manufacturing systems and OT assets.

Escalate significant incidents to Global Information Security teams.

Support threat detection activities affecting plant operations.

OT Security Platform Administration

Responsible for day-to-day administration and support of:

Nozomi OT Security Monitoring

SIEM security visibility and investigations

OT related detection, correlation and alert setup

OT Network Security

Support OT network segmentation initiatives.

Maintain OT asset visibility and inventory.

OT Risk & Vulnerability Management

Assess cybersecurity risks associated with OT systems and vulnerability management.

Compliance & Security Governance

Ensure adherence to company OT security policies and standards.

Maintain OT cybersecurity documentation and standards.

Work with Manufacturing, Facilities, and IT teams to enforce security controls.

Track security findings and remediation progress.

Participate in cybersecurity awareness activities related to manufacturing operations.

Develop site-level security metrics and KPI reporting.
