Are you passionate about lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and bringing new products to life. Petzl Malaysia is seeking a proactive and innovative Methods & Industrialization Project Officer to drive our manufacturing methods forward.

In this dynamic role, you will be the bridge between product development and daily production. You will play a crucial part in bringing our new textile products to the manufacturing floor while continuously optimizing our equipment, quality, safety, ergonomics, and environmental impact in alignment with the Petzl Production System (PEPS).

Your Mission

· New Product Development: Drive the sample-making process, process studies, and process development for exciting new products. You will propose design optimizations, define operation sequences, design size patterns, and estimate manufacturing cycle times (chronos).

· Equipment & Layout Optimization: Define and set up manufacturing equipment, including production workstations/islands, jigs, sewing machine programs, and Kanban systems.

· Continuous Improvement Champion: Foster our continuous improvement philosophy by implementing VSM (Value Stream Mapping), optimizing floor layouts, and setting up the Petzl Production System (PEPS) standards.

· Daily Production Support: Actively participate in morning production line meetings to provide technical solutions. Support our maintenance and industrial teams in developing special tools and jigs using CAD software.

· Sustainability & Compliance: Implement and support compliance with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements within your daily operations. Ensure seamless communication regarding project work-in-progress.

What We’re Looking For

· Industry Experience: Strong background in industrial processes; experience within the sewing or textile industry is highly preferred.

· Technical Proficiency: Solid experience with 2D or 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidEdge, Pro Engineer) for special tool development. Comfort providing technical assistance on sewing machines is a plus.

· Lean Expertise: Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with productivity and continuous improvement tools, including Lean, 5S, SMED, SOPs, and Value Analysis techniques.

· Project Management: Excellent coordination skills with the ability to manage project workflows, assess risks, and proactively develop solutions.

· Communication: Fluent in spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to production teams.

· Mindset: Proactive, innovative, and deeply committed to safety, ergonomics, and environmental responsibility.

Pay: Up to RM3,000.00 per month
