Job Description
Responsibilities
The Accounts Executive handles the day-to-day processing and upkeep of the full set of accounts, ensuring the Group's financial records are accurate, complete, and up to date. You will work closely with the finance team on bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting support. This role suits a detail-oriented individual looking to build a strong grounding in accounting practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and maintain the full set of accounts, including AP, AR, and general ledger entries
- Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile debtor and creditor balances regularly
- Process supplier invoices and staff claims, and prepare payment runs for approval
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries and basic schedules
- Maintain organised, audit-ready filing of accounting records and source documents
- Support basic financial and management reports as directed by senior finance staff
- Assist with data compilation for statutory filings, audits, and compliance
- Perform administrative duties related to the finance function and other ad-hoc tasks
Requirements:
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, LCCI, or a related field
- 1 to 2 years of accounting experience; hands-on exposure to the full set of accounts preferred
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero) and Microsoft Excel
- Meticulous, organised, and comfortable with numbers and deadlines
- Team player with good communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Corporate secretarial exposure is an advantage
- Entry-level candidates with a strong academic foundation in accounting are welcome
