Job Description

Responsibilities

Ready to get hands-on and solve real engineering problems on site? Join our field team working with us at CORVUS TECHUB SDN BHD, where we deploy, test and keep electronic systems running across Malaysia. We focus on practical, customer-facing engineering that keeps production lines and automation systems reliable and productive.

As a Test Technician / Engineer On-Site Support you will build and scale our field test capability by delivering repeatable installation, commissioning and acceptance processes. You will lead equipment setup, perform functional and reliability testing, document detailed service reports, and coach junior engineers while coordinating with Production, Quality and R&D. The role is based in Melaka and we welcome candidates from Sabah and Sarawak; accommodation and transportation will be provided for site assignments.

Your Growth & Impact

  • Expand your technical skills by working on circuit-level diagnostics, PCB fault isolation, calibration and system commissioning at customer sites. Gain hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and industry test equipment.
  • Build field leadership by supervising and mentoring junior technicians during installations and troubleshooting, and by acting as the main technical point of contact for customers. Own service reports and failure analysis to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Develop cross-functional collaboration through daily coordination with Production, Quality and R&D teams to close feedback loops and support product improvement. Influence product changes with practical site observations and test data.
  • Strengthen customer relationships by communicating clear technical recommendations, delivering acceptance testing, and ensuring work follows safety, ESD and quality standards. Manage spare parts records and provide ad hoc training to customer staff when required.
  • Increase career mobility with varied site assignments across Malaysia, exposure to different industrial systems, and measurable KPIs that track your response and resolution performance. Use this role as a stepping stone to senior field engineer or technical lead positions.

Responsibilities

Field Testing & Commissioning

  • Perform on-site installation, setup and acceptance testing of electronic systems and test solutions following company and customer standards.
  • Carry out functional, calibration, performance and reliability tests using oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and other measurement tools.
  • Diagnose PCB, circuit and system-level faults and apply corrective repairs or configuration changes to restore operation.
  • Complete verification checks and handover systems to customers after successful acceptance tests.

Client & On-Site Leadership

  • Act as the primary technical contact on site, respond to service requests and communicate clear recommendations to customers.
  • Lead and mentor junior technicians during installations and troubleshooting, providing hands-on guidance and on-the-job training.
  • Coordinate daily with Production, Quality and R&D teams to close feedback loops and escalate product issues when needed.
  • Manage spare parts records and ensure materials used match specifications during site work.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare detailed service reports, failure analyses and corrective action documentation after each assignment.
  • Maintain accurate logs of service activities, test data and spare parts consumption for traceability.
  • Analyze test results to recommend design or process improvements to R&D and production teams.
  • Ensure all site activities comply with safety, ESD and quality control procedures at the customer facility.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Ability to work flexible hours and perform independently under pressure when required on site.

Hard Skills & Knowledge
