Take strategic ownership of R&D, innovation and new product development, with a strong focus on aluminium coating technologies for the microelectronics sector.

This is a senior leadership opportunity combining deep technical expertise, commercial awareness and R&D strategy.

What We’re Looking For

• PhD in Engineering, R&D, Project Management or related field
• 10–15 years of R&D experience
• Aluminium, coating or related manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of aluminium alloys, extrusion & surface treatment technologies
• Proven experience leading technical & cross-functional teams
• Strong engineering judgement and complex problem-solving ability
• Strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness
• Excellent stakeholder & communication skills
• Japanese proficiency is preferred

• R&D strategy, technology roadmap & innovation
• New products from concept → testing → launch → customer acceptance
• Aluminium coating design, testing & production
• Process re-engineering, cost optimisation & product consistency
• Complex technical investigations & solutions
• R&D projects, budgets, timelines & resources
• Quality, regulatory compliance & continuous improvement
• Collaboration across Production, Sales & Marketing
• Technical and cross-functional R&D teams
• Customer feedback & product improvement initiatives
