Job title: Legal manager

Job Description:

• Lead and manage the legal department.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Provide strategic legal advice to senior management.
• Oversee and manage litigation and disputes.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
• Mitigate legal risks and develop strategies for risk management.
• Work with external legal counsel as needed.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company.

Desired Experience and Skills includes:

• Legal research
• Compliance
• Lawsuits experience (more than 50 cases in the past). Experience in criminal lawsuits is advantage
• Risk management
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Minimum of 8 years of legal experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Proven experience in managing a legal team.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualification:

• Graduated from an accredited law school.
• Membership in good standing with a state bar association.

Working location:

Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR (with domestic travel requirement sometimes).

Working time:

from Monday to Saturday morning. Every day: from 8am to 5pm. Saturday morning: from 8am to 12am.
