Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.

• Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven site QA/QC experience on large-scale infrastructure, high-tech industrial plants, cleanrooms, or high-density Data Center projects.

• Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of MEP codes and execution standards (IEC, BS/EN, MS, ASHRAE TC 9.9, and local statutory guidelines).

• Communication & Tools: Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken); fluency in Mandarin is an added advantage for cross-border engineering coordination. Strong literacy in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and MS Office.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Planning & Documentation (QA):

  • Assist in formulating and updating Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and Method Statements (MOS) tailored for Data Center MEP infrastructure.

  • Audit and verify technical submittals, material compliance documents (MIR), factory inspection reports, and factory witness tests (FAT).

  • Issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Corrective Action Requests (CAR); enforce strict closure protocols on all site defects.

• Site Quality Control & Inspection (QC):

  • Conduct site inspections (WIR / RFI) alongside the Resident Engineer (RE), Lead Consultant, and Client QA representatives.

  • Supervise installation and quality compliance for mission-critical packages:

    • Electrical: MV/LV Switchgears, Transformers, Busduct risers, UPS & Battery banks, Generator Sets (GenSet), and Earthing/Lightning protection (resistance < 1Ω).

    • Mechanical: Water-cooled chillers, Cooling towers, Plate heat exchangers, CRAH/CRAC units, and chilled water pipe networks.

    • Life Safety & Extra Low Voltage (ELV): Pre-action sprinkler, Gas suppression (Clean Agent/Inergen), Fire alarm, BMS, and DCIM containment.

  • Inspect pipe pressure testing, duct air leakage testing (DALT), pipe flushing/chemical cleaning passivation, and fire stopping/compartmentation sealing in white spaces.

• Testing, Commissioning & Handover (T&C):

  • Coordinate and supervise multi-stage T&C activities (Level 1 to Level 5 / Integrated Systems Testing).

  • Verify full-load failure simulations, automatic transfer switch (ATS) failovers, and black-building load drop scenarios.

  • Verify and compile As-Built drawings, Operation and Maintenance Manuals (O&M), and statutory test records for local authority clearances (TNB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, Bomba, IWK, DOSH).
