About the opportunity

A well-established international corporate services group is appointing a General Manager to lead its Singapore business. The group supports companies and investors across a broad spread of service lines, and Singapore is a significant operation within its global network.

This is the senior seat in the country: one person owning the business end to end — overall P&L, revenue growth, and every service vertical the group runs in Singapore. The firm is investing in dedicated senior leadership for the market, and it wants a leader who gives commercial growth and operational delivery equal weight.

This is a confidential search. The identity of the group will be shared with candidates who progress to the interview shortlist stage.

The role

You carry the Singapore business — one country, full scope. That means owning revenue growth year on year: winning new clients, growing existing relationships, and carrying the number yourself. Selling is the core of this seat. Alongside it, you keep enough operational grip to know the delivery organisation is keeping its promises — and to spot the commercial opportunity sitting inside a delivery relationship.

You lead across all of the service verticals the group runs in the market. Some service line leaders report to you directly, some sit alongside you in a matrix, but the whole Singapore scope is yours.

You partner with the specialist business-line leaders across the group, so that whenever the firm goes to market on the full breadth of the group offering, every relevant capability is part of the conversation. You do not need to be the technical expert in every service line — the specialists carry the depth.

One thing to be clear-eyed about: this is a single-country mandate by design. It suits someone for whom running Singapore end to end is a bigger job than the one they hold today — more ownership, more breadth, a fuller P&L — not a step down from a regional remit.

What makes you a fit

You have probably built your career inside an offshoring, BPO, managed services, shared services or service delivery environment — and somewhere along the way you moved from running delivery to owning a business. You understand how an operation works end to end, but you are also the person carrying the number: growing revenue, landing new customers, and seeing commercial opportunity inside operational relationships.

A few things matter here:

  • Sales is home ground. You have personally won new clients and grown revenue year on year, ideally selling services to CFO-level buyers. Commercial relationships you can bring with you are a strong plus.
  • You have owned a real P&L. A business in the tens of millions of dollars, with direct revenue accountability — not a functional budget, and not a regional title over a thin patch.
  • You are a genuine hybrid. A pure operator — SLA and service-quality focused — will not fit. Neither will a pure salesperson who leaves the operations to someone else.
  • Domain is secondary to model. If you have sold outsourced or managed services to CFOs, that counts for more than the industry you come from. A working sense of fund services helps; specialist depth is not required.
  • Altitude matters more than title. Commercial ownership and the readiness to take on a bigger load count for more than the size of the title on your current card.

The environment is demanding and high-performance. It suits people who deliver.

What is on offer

  • A country-leadership seat with genuine end-to-end ownership — the full Singapore P&L across every service line
  • The platform and reach of an established international group behind you
  • The mandate to shape the business, not just keep it running — commercial and operations in one pair of hands
