Responsibilities

For People Who Want More Than a Normal Retail Job

At Bomb Battle, we create high-energy, memorable experiences for families, friends, corporate teams, and adventure seekers. Customers remember how they were welcomed, how smoothly their group was managed, how clearly the team communicated, how safe the experience felt, and how problems were handled when things did not go perfectly. Great operations do not happen by accident, behind every great session is a team that keeps the outlet safe, smooth, welcoming, and well-coordinated.

This role is for someone who wants to grow into stronger operations and outlet leadership responsibilities. You do not need to be excellent at everything from day one — we will train you on our outlet flow, systems, service standards, event coordination, inquiry handling, and team routines. What matters most is how you think and respond as you grow: notice what matters, check your work, learn from feedback, speak up early when something is wrong, and take ownership through to resolution. You will be trusted with real operational responsibilities and expected to earn greater scope through consistent contribution, judgement, reliability, and the way you strengthen the team.

What You’ll Do:

Guest Experience & Outlet Operations

  • Welcome customers warmly, manage guest flow, support walk-ins, guide groups, and help ensure every visit feels professional, organised, and enjoyable.
  • Support cleanliness, outlet presentation, safety readiness, cashiering, reconciliation, inventory tracking, supply coordination, and SOP checks with strong attention to detail.
  • Stay flexible and agile during busy periods without compromising critical SOPs, safety standards, cash accuracy, customer information, or system security.
  • Check important details before confirming, sending, charging, recording, or handing over to the next shift.

Event & Marshal Coordination

  • Assist in planning and executing celebration parties, team-building and corporate events to deliver seamless flow and strong guest experience.
  • This includes arranging marshals, managing event flow, supporting walk-ins, prioritising competing needs, and stepping in when the team needs extra hands during peak periods.
  • Use sound floor judgement when leading younger or less experienced team members — build rapport while keeping clear standards, boundaries, accountability, and focus during working hours.

Inquiry Handling & Follow-Up

  • Assist with customer inquiries, quotations, invoices, follow-ups, and tracking leads through Google Sheets or basic CRM.
  • Follow-up requires patience, consistency, and accuracy. Some customers take time to decide, some leads go quiet, and details still need to be tracked, checked, and followed through properly without being chased.

Team Support & Training

  • Support new ground staff, guide marshals, reinforce service standards, and help the team improve through clear expectations, useful feedback, and your own example.
  • Lead by example — you do not need a manager title to lead, but you must be the kind of person who naturally helps others stay focused, organised, and positive. Earn trust by being reliable, fair, prepared, and willing to hold standards even when it would be easier to simply fit in.

Operational Improvement

  • Observe the customer journey and daily operation closely enough to notice friction, repeated mistakes, weak handovers, and preventable risks before they become bigger problems.
  • Turn feedback and mistakes into better systems. This may include stronger checklists, clearer communication, smoother event setup, cleaner handovers, better staff deployment, safer routines, or improved tracking so the same issue is less likely to repeat.

What Strong Ownership Looks Like Here:

  • Use sound judgement before taking action. Notice when something looks unusual, pause to verify rather than proceeding blindly.
  • Handle company systems, files, links, customer information and operational tasks with appropriate care.
  • Know what you can resolve independently and what must be escalated early. Take ownership of issues within your scope, but raise anything involving safety, customer impact, money, data, system access or significant operational risk quickly and clearly.
  • If you realise something you did may have caused a problem, you raise it early, explain what happened clearly, and help contain the impact.
  • Proactively check details, close loops, and follow through with tasks without needing constant reminders or waiting for someone else to catch any errors
  • You follow through until the issue is actually closed, not only until your part feels finished.
  • Willing to support, guide, and train the team while balancing approachability with clear standards, accountability, and professional boundaries.
  • Coachable and able to turn feedback into visible, lasting improvement

You’ll Enjoy This Role If You:

  • Have strong communication skills in English; while fluency in Mandarin is an added advantage
  • Enjoy working hands-on in a fast-moving, playful, energetic, people-facing environment, and willing to cross-cover when needed
  • Take pride in good hospitality and customer experience
  • Can stay calm, professional, think clearly, and prioritise when customers, crowds, or situations become difficult while making sensible decisions
  • Can balance flexibility with SOP discipline and know when a situation requires immediate escalation
  • Want to grow into stronger operations or outlet leadership responsibilities by proving your impact, not simply by time served or title
  • Are tech-savvy and responsible with Google Sheets, CRM, POS, shared devices, account access, customer data, and basic systems

This Role May Not Suit You If You:

  • Want a simple, relaxed retail counter job, or enjoy being behind the desk
  • Dislike weekend or peak-period work
  • Get easily discouraged by challenging moments
  • Prefer fixed routines and dislike live operational changes

Backgrounds That May Fit Well:

You may be a good fit if you have experience in retail, entertainment, client servicing, communications, event planning, hospitality, operations, or another environment where accuracy, customer judgement, follow-through, and team coordination mattered. We value transferable experience, but this is an execution-first outlet role: previous titles or unrelated specialist skills do not replace the need to learn our operation, perform consistently on the floor, and demonstrate value in the responsibilities you are trusted with.

What You’ll Get:

  • Annual Leave
  • Performance Bonus
  • EPF / SOCSO / PCB
  • Medical and Hospitalisation Leave
  • Overtime Pay
  • Full Training Provided
  • Real exposure to operations, events, customer experience, inquiry handling, and team coordination
  • A pathway to grow through demonstrated performance, judgement, ownership, learning, and contribution

Ready to Be the Difference at Bomb Battle?

If you want a role where you are trusted early, trained properly, challenged honestly, and given room to grow by proving what you can contribute, apply now. We are looking for someone who wants to make the operation better, not simply fill a seat.
