About Our Client

Our client is an established international investment institution looking to appoint a Director, Syndication for a regional Asia role based in Singapore. This newly created position joins a lean, newly established team in Singapore and offers the opportunity to build debt syndication and distribution capabilities across the region, with a particular focus on mezzanine financing.

Developing strong institutional investor relationships will be central to the role, alongside partnering with investment teams to structure transactions, attract capital and create co-investment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead debt syndication, distribution and sell down execution across Asia, with a focus on South Asia and Southeast Asia

• Build and deepen senior relationships with institutional investors, asset managers, insurers and development finance partners across the region

• Develop regional investor coverage plans, matching investment opportunities with investor appetite and requirements

• Partner with investment teams early in the deal process to advise on pricing, financing structures, terms and distribution potential

• Develop distribution strategies for senior and mezzanine debt across corporate, financial institution and infrastructure transactions

• Drive strategic investor partnerships and co-investment opportunities, coordinating engagement across markets and internal teams

• Establish syndication processes and work closely with Credit, Legal, Finance and Operations to ensure effective execution

Requirements

• Extensive experience in loan syndication, debt distribution and institutional investor coverage across Asia

• Established regional investor networks and a strong track record in developing senior relationships and converting investor interest into executed transactions

• Strong transaction experience in senior and mezzanine financing, particularly across South Asia and Southeast Asia

• Sound understanding of credit pricing, capital structures and the investment requirements of institutional investors

• Commercial and entrepreneurial approach to expanding investor coverage and developing distribution channels

• Ability to operate independently within a lean team and collaborate across markets to execute complex transactions

• An interest in sustainable investment and supporting economic development in emerging markets
