  • Review requisitions and coordinate the timely procurement of spare parts, stores and technical services.

  • Monitor the maintenance of propulsion, electrical, automation, auxiliary and deck machinery systems.

  • Maintain regular communication with shipowners and report on vessel condition, technical risks and budget performance.

  • Work closely with Marine, HSEQ, Crewing and Purchasing teams.

  • Support the selection, appraisal and development of senior engineering officers.

  • Assist with vessel takeovers, handovers and delivery projects.

Requirements

  • Class 1 Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency or an internationally recognised equivalent.

  • Diploma or degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Seagoing experience as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer aboard container vessels.

  • Preferably 2 to 5 years of shore-based experience in container-vessel technical management.

  • Strong knowledge of marine machinery, planned maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Experience managing dry-dockings, repairs, vessel inspections and technical budgets.

  • Good understanding of Class, Flag, statutory and environmental requirements.

  • Experience in third-party ship management and shipowner reporting would be advantageous.

  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and fleet-management systems.

  • Willing to travel internationally and provide urgent technical support outside standard working hours.
