About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Facilities Technician to support the maintenance, operation, and reliability of facility systems and utilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and ensuring facility operations comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair works on facility mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
- Troubleshoot and respond to facility equipment breakdowns and utility system issues.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain facilities equipment including HVAC, Chiller, Air Compressor, CDA, Process Water System, Nitrogen System, Electrical Systems, and Building Management System (BMS).
- Conduct routine inspections and report abnormalities, defects, or operational concerns.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers for maintenance and improvement activities.
- Support boiler operations and other utility systems as required.
- Prepare maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, local regulations, and facility standards.
- Assist in facility improvement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support after-office-hour facility requirements and emergency maintenance activities when required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in facility maintenance, utilities, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of facility systems such as HVAC, Chiller, Air Compressor, Electrical Systems, CDA, Process Water, Nitrogen, and BMS.
- Basic troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance activities and safety procedures.
- Possess basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A0/A1 Chargeman certification will be an added advantage.
