Role Overview

I am working with a client of mine, seeking Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technology strategy, architecture, and digital transformation agenda for a leading banking organisation.

The successful candidate will drive technology innovation, modernise platforms, and leverage AI to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the bank’s technology strategy, aligning technology investments with business objectives.
• Lead digital transformation, cloud adoption, modernisation of core banking platforms, and enterprise architecture.
• Drive AI, Generative AI, and automation initiatives to improve customer engagement, risk management, fraud detection, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, data governance, resilience, and regulatory compliance.
• Build and lead high-performing technology teams, fostering innovation and agile delivery.
• Partner with business leaders, risk, compliance, and operations to deliver scalable, secure, and customer-centric solutions.
• Manage technology budgets, strategic vendors, and technology risk.

Requirements

• Extensive technology leadership experience within banking, financial services, or a similarly regulated environment.
• Proven track record in enterprise technology strategy, digital transformation, and large-scale platform modernisation.
• Strong understanding of AI/GenAI, data platforms, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and technology architecture.
• Experience managing regulatory requirements, operational resilience, and technology risk.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence C-suite executives and drive business outcomes.
