The FG Technician will work in the Finished Goods (FG) department. The role focuses on providing technical support to Production on meeting delivery schedule, monitoring and maintaining packaging equipment. The technician will also help engineers to qualify packaging materials and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold safety and documentation standards.

The FG Technician will work in the Finished Goods (FG) department. The role focuses on providing technical support to Production on meeting delivery schedule, monitoring and maintaining packaging equipment. The technician will also help engineers to qualify packaging materials and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold safety and documentation standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor packaging machinery for finished‑goods production.
- Inspect packaged products for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate production and packaging records in the MES system.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate with production planners to meet shipment deadlines.
- Ensure all safety procedures and PPE requirements are followed.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Assist in training new operators and cross‑functional team members.
- Manage inventory of packaging materials and report shortages.
- Support internal and external audits related to packaging processes.
- Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Prior experience with packaging processes and packaging materials preferred.
- Familiarity with automation equipment and control systems.
- Basic understanding of quality control principles.
- Good problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a shift environment and handle physical tasks.
- Effective communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proficiency in using computer applications (MES, ERP).
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Team‑player attitude with a proactive work ethic.
