Job Purpose

Responsible in originating and managing the relationships with SME / Commercial customers all over Malaysia and to assist Business Heads of Commercial Banking.

Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

• Develop new business and maximizing existing business by promoting, marketing and structuring financing products that suits customer financing requirements as well as cross selling other products and/ or services available at MBSB.
• Design and implement a strategic business plan to achieve departmental and individual KPIs.
• Maintain high quality of account portfolio and to increase SME and Commercial Portfolio growth.
• Prepare, evaluate and review credit proposal paper to ensure high quality standard to be presented to the respective approving authority for approval i.e. MICC, BICC, BOARD, ect.
• Build and promote strong, long lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understand their needs and requirements.
• Carry out other duties as reasonable required by the Management.
• To ensure the Annual Review and Interim Review are carried on a timely basis.
• To improve MBSB Banks Non-Performing Financing, Impairments and provisioning within the Commercial and SME clientele segment.
• To promote SME program and Government/BNM fund program to the customers to increase the portfolio growth for SME segment.
• Reviewing financing papers as well as managing offices under supervision which task among others include credit evaluation and annual review prior to submission to Credit Assessment.

Other Responsibilities

• Manage the Commercial Unit efficiently so that performance goals and objective are achieved.
• Coach and advise the Commercial Banking Unit.
• Identify and resolve any performance issues within the unit.
• Distribute and control the tasks to be performed by the Relationship Manager within the unit.
• Communicate the strategy, plans and ideas within the unit.
• Promote awareness and ensure adherence to all policies & procedures.
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the management from time to time or as and when necessary for the effective realization of the job purpose.

Qualification

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in any field

Experience

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in local/foreign bank.
• Ability to work independently on a variety of assigned projects.
• Ability to be thorough and pay attention to detail.
