Valid lorry driver's license with a clean driving record.

Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience as a lorry driver, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment.

Ability to operate and maneuver large vehicles safely and efficiently in various traffic and weather conditions.

Familiarity with the Klang Valley area and surrounding regions for effective route planning.

Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and the ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

Physically fit and capable of loading and unloading goods when required.

Good communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and/or Mandarin to interact with dispatchers, clients, and warehouse staff.

Punctual, reliable, and able to adhere to delivery schedules.

Possession of a Secondary School Certificate (SPM) or equivalent qualification.

Safely operate a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) or lorry to transport goods and materials to various destinations within Malaysia, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels, and report any defects or malfunctions immediately to the supervisor.

Load and unload goods securely and efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary.

Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, delivery times, and any incidents or issues encountered during the route.

Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients at delivery and pick-up points, obtaining necessary signatures, and resolving any immediate concerns.

Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the lorry, performing basic upkeep and reporting any maintenance needs to the fleet manager.

Comply with all safety regulations and company procedures related to the transportation of goods, including hazardous materials if applicable.

Navigate routes effectively using GPS devices or maps, planning the most efficient routes to minimize travel time and fuel costs.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules, potential delays, and any changes to the planned route.

Assist with inventory management and stock checks at loading and unloading sites as required by the company.
