Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in WP Kuala Lumpur. This position is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and partners, and expanding TGSB’s presence in target markets. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, qualifying leads, preparing proposals, coordinating bids, and presenting solutions that align with client needs and project requirements. The role involves close collaboration with internal design, preconstruction, and project teams to ensure accurate scoping, pricing, and delivery of specialty building solutions. The Business Development Manager is expected to track performance metrics, maintain an organized pipeline, participate in industry events, and provide regular reports and strategic input to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in business development, client relationship management, and account growth within construction, architecture, or related industries.
• Experience with market research, opportunity analysis, and strategic planning to identify and prioritize prospective projects.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including design, preconstruction, and project management.
• Proficiency in using CRM tools and basic office software for pipeline tracking, reporting, and documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven track record in meeting sales or business development targets and managing a structured opportunity pipeline.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Comfort working in an on-site environment in WP Kuala Lumpur and engaging regularly with clients and project teams.
• Exposure to digital construction methods, prefabrication, or lean construction is an advantage.
