Our client is a leading organisation specialised in developing advanced Semiconductor equipment.
Job Summary
As a Field Service Engineer (Senior/Maintenance), you will deliver expert technical support by installing, commissioning, and maintaining semiconductor equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime for customers.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to customer equipment issues to minimize operational downtime
- Install, set up, and commission semiconductor equipment according to specifications
- Perform equipment performance checks to verify compliance with required standards
- Conduct equipment testing, calibration, and upgrades to maintain optimal functionality
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and software faults to resolve issues efficiently
- Escalate complex technical problems to engineering teams and track resolution progress
- Collaborate with customers to resolve technical challenges and provide effective solutions
- Prepare service and troubleshooting reports
- Support equipment qualification and acceptance processes to ensure compliance
- Coordinate with internal engineering and technical teams to facilitate issue resolution and service delivery
- Travel overseas as required to support customer needs and equipment servicing
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma /Nitec in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related discipline
- 2-5 years of experience working with semiconductor equipment, automation, or industrial machinery
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and customer-service skills
