Job Overview

Pacific Quartz (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is the Malaysian subsidiary of Jiangsu Pacific Quartz Co., Ltd., a quartz materials manufacturer. We are setting up our new plant in Kulim, Kedah, and are building our founding team.

Job Requirements

• Only Malaysian citizens are eligible to apply.

• Purchasing experience in a manufacturing company, preferably an international-invested one.

• Knowledge of Malaysian purchasing procedures, import duties and payment terms.

• A good network of suppliers in Penang or Kedah is an advantage.

• Fluent in English; Mandarin is an advantage.

• Careful, responsible, cost-conscious and aware of supply risks.

• Source and get quotations for local materials, consumables, spare parts and equipment parts.

• Compare prices, negotiate, and develop and maintain suppliers.

• Issue purchase orders and follow up on delivery to keep production supplied.

• Evaluate local suppliers and keep supplier records up to date.

• Control purchasing cost, taking into account local duties and payment terms.

• Report purchasing data to headquarters in China, and apply headquarters purchasing policies locally.

• Resolve late deliveries and quality issues with suppliers.

• Overtime pay in accordance with the Employment Act 1955.
