SH Retail Academy is looking for a motivated, well-organised Sales Manager who can build strong customer relationships and grow our training and leadership development business.

You will connect with business owners, HR professionals and retail leaders to understand their people and business challenges, then recommend suitable training and consultancy solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to grow business with new and existing clients.
• Identify prospects through networking, referrals, outreach and follow-up on enquiries.
• Understand clients’ workforce development needs and recommend relevant SHRA programmes.
• Work with trainers to prepare tailored proposals, presentations and quotations.
• Manage the sales process from prospecting and needs discovery to negotiation and closing.
• Build long-term client relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, track sales opportunities and report progress against targets.
• Coordinate with marketing and programme delivery teams to ensure a smooth client experience.
• Mentor team members to achieve individual and team sales objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of sales or business development experience; experience in B2B services, training, consultancy or retail is an advantage.
• Strong prospecting, relationship-building, negotiation and closing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging business owners and HR decision-makers.
• Ability to understand client needs and communicate the business value of training.
• Strong organisation and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple sales opportunities.
• Self-driven, resilient and committed to achieving sales targets.
• A genuine interest in helping people and businesses grow.
