Job Responsibilities

• To liaise with respective Category Managers on the purchase standards, specifications and freshness of incoming perishable supplies for processing.
• To develop and constantly fine tune the receiving standards and SOPs for all incoming fresh supplies.
• To prescribe and monitor the operating standards of the processing departments.
• To audit and ensure the compliance of the prescribed standards for all daily outgoing supplies.
• To monitor and report on shrinkage, write-offs, BOM conversion rate to bi-products and provide supplier evaluation reports to the Category Managers.
• To design and prepare the relevant on-the-job training manuals or visual training materials for new joins to the processing departments.
• To provide trainings to the designated staff on the correct operating procedures to operate & handle processing equipment and machineries.
• To design and develop incentive programs for the processing and quality control team to increase productivity, minimize shrinkage & write-offs and revenue sharing.
• To conduct investigations and implement corrective actions and preventive actions to achieve zero error standards on freshness, quality and standards.
• To monitor the usage rate of equipment, machineries and make recommendations to constantly improve on output quality, standards, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• To monitor the overall running cost of the respective processing departments.
• To liaise with service partners and manage the maintenance programs, repair costs and replacement related to the respective processing departments.
• To review, negotiate for better interest on the renewals of the maintenance contracts.
• To always explore, improvise and improve on work processes to achieve cost saving, higher productivity, reduced shrinkages and redundancies.
• To manage the inventories of all packing materials and expandable materials applicable to the processing departments.
• To review periodically the cost and benefits of the value added packing materials used by the processing departments.
• To spearhead or partake in new turnkey projects, including research and development of product format conversions, OEM branding or house brands and ISO certification projects.
• To liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure the progression of the assigned projects falls within the given specifications, timelines and budgets.
• To collate reports and make presentations to management when required on relevant areas.
• Conduct schedule and non-schedule visits to Supermarket outlets to investigate feedbacks on freshness, produce & product handling and display standards. Offer recommendations on ways or re-training, when necessary, to extend the sellable period of their fresh perishables.
• To attend freshness quality feedbacks by B2B customers.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Quality Control, preferably in a similar industry.
• Good knowledge of quality management systems, inspection techniques, and quality control procedures.
• Experience with ISO standards and relevant industry-specific regulatory requirements is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Meticulous, organized, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
