Job Scope / Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting

• Assist in month-end/year-end closing for multiple companies within the group.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

2. Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with SST, income tax, and other statutory requirements in Malaysia.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.

3. Group Restructuring & Process Stabilisation

• Participate in group restructuring exercises, financial due diligence, and reorganisation plans.
• Support process standardisation and system improvements across different entities.
• Identify inefficiencies and propose effective solutions to improve accuracy and productivity.

4. Internal Controls & Policy Compliance

• Implement and monitor internal controls and compliance with company accounting policies.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across entities.

5. Team Supervision

• Guide and support junior accounting staff.
• Assist in onboarding, training, and performance development of team members.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in handling group accounting or multiple entities.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and taxation.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g. SQL, AutoCount, or other relevant accounting software).
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Able to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Willing to travel outstation when required
• Preferred Mandarin and English communication
