Job Description
Responsibilities
Support pharmaceutical procurement, sourcing, tender exercises and supplier evaluation.
Maintain relationships with approved pharmaceutical manufacturers, suppliers and wholesalers.
Monitor supplier pricing, contractual terms, GPO arrangements and agreement validity.
Analyse medication usage and inventory data to support demand forecasting and minimise stockouts and product expiry.
Consolidate purchase requests from medical centres and clinics and generate and monitor purchase orders through the ERP system.
Coordinate with suppliers on delivery schedules and outstanding orders.
Support appropriate handling and storage of temperature-sensitive medications in accordance with cold-chain requirements.
Assist with urgent medication repacking and dispatch activities in accordance with established procedures.
Maintain accurate procurement documentation and support internal and external audit requirements.
Coordinate product quality issues, defects and recalls with relevant suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Support cost optimisation initiatives while considering supply continuity, product quality and applicable clinical requirements.
Reconcile purchase orders, delivery documents and invoices with the Finance team.
Process Goods Received Notes (GRNs) in the relevant operating and ERP systems.
Prepare procurement and inventory reports for management and Finance.
Perform other relevant procurement duties as assigned.
