What You'll Do

As General Manager – Shipping and Logistics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organisation’s freight forwarding operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service standards while driving commercial success. You will be responsible for expanding business offerings across air, sea, and multimodal logistics solutions, ensuring that customer relationships remain strong through regular engagement.

• Develop and execute comprehensive annual business plans that align with commercial strategies and organisational growth objectives.
• Drive sales performance by expanding market coverage, acquiring new customers, and identifying innovative business opportunities within shipping and logistics.
• Expand the freight forwarding business by introducing air, sea, and multimodal logistics solutions tailored to evolving customer needs.
• Build strong relationships with customers, shipping lines/carriers, principals, agents, and key service providers through consistent communication and shared goals.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify opportunities for commercial advancement and formulate effective strategies.
• Provide guidance to cross-functional teams to ensure operational performance meets high standards of customer service excellence.
• Facilitate coordination between Singapore and Indonesia operations by promoting effective sharing of market intelligence and business insights.
• Ensure robust credit control processes are in place alongside optimal equipment utilisation for efficient operations.
