The Cat Vet is Singapore's premier feline-only clinic, offering a calm, dog-free environment designed entirely for cats. We provide expert veterinary care focused solely on feline health and wellbeing.

Job Summary

Join The Cat Vet as an experienced Vet Tech to assist vets, manage reception duties, run lab tests, and maintain a calm, cat-friendly clinic environment.

Responsibilities

Manage the reception desk, bookings, and respond to phone and email queries to provide a welcoming first point of contact for clients

Support veterinarians during consultations, treatments, and surgeries, including monitoring anaesthesia to ensure patient safety

Perform in-house laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic imaging to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment

Prepare feline patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout

Handle clinic administrative tasks including billing and stock management to maintain smooth clinic operations

Maintain a clean, calm, and cat-friendly clinic environment to reduce stress for patients and clients

Build warm, lasting relationships with clients and their cats to foster trust and ongoing care

Required competencies and certifications

Minimum 1+ years of experience as a vet tech, vet nurse, or veterinary assistant

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Confident and warm client-facing communication skills to effectively manage front-of-house interactions

Strong English communication skills, organizational ability, and reliability as a team player

Genuine compassion for cats and willingness to care for sick animals, including cleaning duties

Flexibility to work weekends as part of a roster, with 4 or 5 working days per week
