• MBBS / MD or equivalent recognised medical qualification

• Full registration with the Malaysian Medical Council

• Valid Annual Practising Certificate

• Completed housemanship

• GP / clinic / primary-care experience preferred

• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia

• Comfortable working rostered shifts

• Professional, responsible and reliable

• Good bedside manner and interpersonal skills

Key responsibilities

• Manage acute and chronic primary-care cases

• Conduct warm, thorough and patient-centred consultations

• Provide clear explanations and patient education

• Support antenatal, women's health and child-health services

• Conduct health screenings and medical examinations

• Recommend appropriate investigations and preventive healthcare

• Discuss suitable clinic programmes and treatment options with patients

• Encourage appropriate patient follow-up and continuity of care

• Perform minor procedures and selected services where trained

• Perform ultrasound where appropriately trained and credentialed
