SENIOR PURCHASING EXECUTIVE

Salary: RM3,500 – RM4,000
Monday – Saturday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Purchasing Executive to manage purchasing activities and supplier relationships for our food manufacturing operations.

You will be responsible for ensuring the timely supply of raw materials, herbs, ingredients, packaging materials and production supplies while achieving competitive pricing and maintaining good supplier performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily purchasing and procurement activities.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers for competitive prices and terms.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs).
• Monitor supplier orders and delivery schedules.
• Ensure sufficient materials are available for production.
• Manage purchasing of raw materials, herbs, ingredients and packaging materials.
• Evaluate and monitor supplier performance.
• Handle delivery issues, shortages and incorrect materials.
• Maintain purchasing records, quotations, POs and supplier documents.
• Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Warehouse, QA/QC, Finance and R&D.
• Guide and supervise Purchasing Executive and Assistant Purchasing staff.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company procedures, GMP, HACCP, Halal and food safety requirements.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma/Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience in food manufacturing, health supplements, herbs, dairy or FMCG is an advantage.
• Knowledge of AutoCount system is required.
• Good negotiation, communication and supplier management skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong follow-up, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience supervising purchasing staff is an advantage.
