Job Description
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and assess organisational activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and address compliance gaps.
- Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related matters.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory bodies and management.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance across all departments.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and recommend necessary adjustments to policies.
A Successful Compliance Manager Should Have
- Approximately 8-10 years of relevant experience in Compliance, Regulatory, Risk or Assurance, with at least 5 years in BNM-regulated payments, e-money, banking or similar products regulated by the Securities Commission Malaysia, or experience serving comparable fintech, payments or regulated financial services providers, either in Malaysia or other markets.
- Proven ability to develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
- Hands-on experience with at least two of SOC 2, ISO 27001 or PCI DSS, preferably as a coordinator or control owner rather than solely as an auditor.
- Experience in conducting audits and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in analysing and interpreting regulatory guidelines.
