Cybersecurity Consultant

Nucleo Consulting Pte Ltd is looking for a Cybersecurity Consultant to support clients with practical security assessments, risk management and improvements to their technology environments. The role combines technical analysis with consulting work, requiring the ability to understand client requirements and translate security concerns into clear recommendations.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Assess client IT environments and identify potential cybersecurity risks and control gaps.
  • Assist with security reviews, vulnerability assessments and risk assessments.
  • Develop practical recommendations to strengthen security controls and reduce identified risks.
  • Support the preparation of security assessment reports, findings and remediation plans.
  • Review policies, procedures and technical documentation against relevant security requirements.
  • Work with client teams to clarify security issues and track remediation activities.
  • Assist with security incident reviews and investigations where required.
  • Keep up to date with common cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities and industry practices.
  • Support security-related projects, audits and compliance activities.
  • Communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience & Technical Skills

  • Degree or Diploma in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in cybersecurity consulting, security operations, IT risk or a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of network security, access controls, vulnerability management and common security principles.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks, policies and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Experience with security tools or assessment platforms is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good report-writing and presentation skills.
  • Able to manage client assignments professionally and work to agreed deadlines.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISA or similar qualifications are advantageous.

Consulting Approach

The position requires a balance of technical understanding and client communication.
