What The Role Is

You are responsible for researching and analysing meteorological data to generate value-added insights for operations and manage weather support to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

What You Will Be Working On

• Oversee the utility of weather products and services by the users
• Ensure that SAF's operational demands are met
• Coordinate the provision of weather support to SAF
• Source for weather data
• Analyse weather trends, patterns and impacts
• Generate meteorological insights for planners and decision makers
  
  

Challenge(s)

• Having an understanding of meteorology to appreciate and determine appropriate weather information for support
• Having an understanding of military weather support to administer the appropriate weather support effectively
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Education in Sciences, Mathematics, Computation, Engineering, or relevant fields
• Possession of applicable skillsets in statistics and knowledge in Geographic Information System (GIS) tools is advantageous
• Ability to work independently
• Willingness to learn
• Active team player in discussions and projects
