Role Description The Engineering and Maintenance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore, responsible for leading maintenance and engineering activities in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This position oversees maintenance teams, plans and executes preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensures equipment reliability to support production targets. Daily responsibilities include developing maintenance schedules, troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating repairs, and optimizing maintenance processes and standards. The role manages budgets and maintenance-related documentation, supports safety and compliance initiatives, and collaborates with operations, engineering, and quality teams to improve equipment performance and minimize downtime. The manager is also expected to mentor team members, drive continuous improvement projects, and implement best practices in maintenance management.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, workload planning, and performance management.
  • Candidates should possess hands-on Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills for semiconductor or similar high-tech manufacturing equipment.
  • Candidates should possess expertise in Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance Management, including planning, scheduling, and tracking maintenance activities.
  • Candidates should possess solid problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose technical issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Relevant experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or industrial engineering environments is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field) or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards, regulatory requirements, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software (CMMS) and basic data analysis tools to monitor performance and drive improvements.
