Smartlink Engineering Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian contract manufacturing company serving high-precision industries including semiconductor, automotive and aerospace. Our capabilities include precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, electrical and mechanical assembly, cable and wire harnessing, control panels and system integration.

We are looking for a Assistant Engineer – Manufacturing / Production to join our team and support our engineering and production operations.

Current Location : Seksyen 32 Shah Alam

New Location : Sijangkang Selangor - we will move to the new facilities by Quarter 1, 2027.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the engineering team in supporting daily manufacturing and production activities.
• Provide technical support to Production and other relevant departments to ensure smooth production operations.
• Assist in reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and production requirements.
• Assist in identifying and resolving production, process and technical issues.
• Support the development and improvement of manufacturing processes and work methods.
• Assist in preparing and updating work instructions, process documentation and other engineering-related documents.
• Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, quality and efficiency.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Planning, Purchasing and other departments to resolve production-related issues.
• Assist in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for production or quality issues.
• Support engineering projects, process improvements and new product introduction activities.
• Assist in monitoring production performance and preparing relevant engineering or production reports.
• Ensure engineering activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures, quality requirements and safety standards.

Job Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Candidates with experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment will have an added advantage.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and production operations.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks or other engineering software will be an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
