Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Melaka, with flexibility for partial work-from-home arrangements. The Takaful Consultant will advise customers on family takaful solutions, explain product features and benefits, and support clients in selecting plans that meet their protection and financial needs. The role involves conducting needs analysis, preparing proposals, handling policy applications, and assisting customers with inquiries, renewals, and basic claims-related guidance. The Takaful Consultant will build and maintain long-term relationships through regular follow-ups, outreach activities, and participation in marketing or community events. The role also includes meeting individual and team sales targets, complying with regulatory and Shariah guidelines, and updating product and industry knowledge through ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in spoken and written English (additional local languages are an advantage).
• Sales and negotiation skills, including experience or interest in financial services, insurance, or takaful advisory.
• Basic financial literacy and analytical skills to perform needs analysis and explain takaful concepts and plans in an accessible manner.
• Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client cases and meet performance targets.
• Comfort with digital tools and platforms for communication, presentations, and remote work in a hybrid environment.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to Shariah-compliant practices and regulatory requirements.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field is preferred; relevant work experience may also be considered.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training, development programmes, and occasional evening or weekend events when required.
