Responsibilities
About the Company
We are a City Hall-based consultancy offering integrated HR, accounting, and corporate advisory services to SMEs. We deliver personalised, high-quality support without the rigid structures and revenue targets of a traditional firm.
Role:
Join our growing team to handle the full spectrum of accounting services for a portfolio of SME clients, working closely with the Directors. No timesheets or revenue targets, just professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and maintain full sets of accounts for multiple SME clients, from bookkeeping to financial statements
* Handle month-end and year-end closing, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
* Manage AR, AP, bank reconciliations, and the general ledger using Xero
* Prepare GST returns (F5/F7) and ensure timely IRAS submissions
* Assist with unaudited financial statements under SFRS
* Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies
* Support clients with ad hoc queries, analysis, and reporting
* Contribute to process improvements and standardised workflows
Requirements (Must Have):
* Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
* 2+ years' experience in accounting or audit (Accountant); 4+ years (Senior Accountant)
* Hands-on Xero experience
* Strong knowledge of full sets of accounts, including GL, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations
* Familiarity with Singapore tax filing and GST compliance
* Meticulous and organised, able to manage multiple client portfolios independently
Good-to-Have:
* Corporate secretarial knowledge (ACRA filings, annual returns, board resolutions)
* Understanding of Singapore corporate and personal tax (Form C-S, ECI, IR8A)
* Experience in professional services or outsourced accounting
