Daifuku Oceania is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Kuala Lumpur team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting major automation, baggage handling and intralogistics projects across APAC.

This is a hands-on engineering role where your design, modelling and project documentation skills will directly support complex systems used in airports, warehouses and distribution centres. You will work with experienced regional project teams, use leading design and BIM tools, and gain exposure to Australian and New Zealand engineering standards.

What You’ll Bring
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering, project engineering, design coordination or mechanical systems delivery
  • Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor with some exposure to Revit, Navisworks or BIM beneficial
  • Experience developing or maintaining conveyor layouts, mechanical layouts, Revit families, Navisworks environments or engineering models beneficial
  • Ability to prepare and interpret functional design specifications, bills of materials, technical drawings and engineering documentation
  • Strong understanding of material handling, baggage handling, automation or intralogistics systems
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously
