Job Description

Requirements

  • Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or compliance roles.

  • Proficiency in accounting principles and practices.

  • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and requirements.

  • Understanding of tax compliance regulations and procedures.

  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and data management.

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Auto Count) is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Understanding of basic compliance principles within the financial sector.

  • Experience in banking industry with dealing client and finance, tax and audit will be advantage,

  • Experience with Labuan market also advantage

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.

  • Conduct regular compliance checks and audits to ensure adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and legal requirements.

  • Prepare and file tax returns and related documentation accurately and timely, liaising with tax authorities as needed.

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and collections.

  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Utilize accounting software and advanced Excel functions for data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors, providing necessary financial information and documentation.

  • Stay updated on changes in financial regulations, tax laws, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
