Job Description

• Prepare ingredients to specification (chopping, slicing, weighing, measuring) for production.
• Using the meat slicer to slice ham into required thickness, ensuring presentation and quality standards are maintained.
• Assist in basic cooking tasks under supervision.
• Prepare and maintain mise en place for your assigned station. Handle and store ingredients according to food safety standards.
• Monitor product quality and report defects or inconsistencies to the Executive Chef.
• Ensure workstations are clean, organized, and well-stocked with the necessary tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen, including regular cleaning of surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
• Follow established food safety and hygiene protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure the quality of the final products.

Qualifications & Skills

• 2-3 years of experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in western cuisine
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from Chefs and kitchen supervisors
• Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, customer-oriented attitude.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, i.e. HACCP
• Good command in spoken English, other languages would be an asset
• Demonstrate a keen interest in western cuisine and a willingness to learn and improve culinary skills
• Immediate available is highly preferred

Working days & hours

• Shift work required
• Monday to Saturday
• 7:30am - 4:30pm / 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay: $18,000.00 - $20,000.00 per month
