Role Description The Account Manager, Public Sector is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya. This role is responsible for managing and growing relationships with government clients, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed through Century Software’s solutions. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing key accounts, coordinating with internal teams to deliver projects and services, preparing proposals and presentations, and monitoring client satisfaction and contract performance. The Account Manager will identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, support tender and bid processes, and maintain accurate account plans and reports. The role also involves staying current with public sector policies and regulations, providing strategic input, and representing the company at client meetings, briefings, and relevant industry events.

Qualifications

• Strong account management skills with experience in building, maintaining, and growing long-term client relationships.
• Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction through responsive service, problem-solving, and proactive client engagement.
• Effective communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, presentation abilities, and stakeholder management.
• Sales-related skills, such as opportunity identification, pipeline management, negotiation, and delivering value-focused proposals.
• Understanding of the public sector environment, including government processes, procurement practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with government or enterprise clients, ideally in financial management, software, or technology solutions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Comfort with CRM tools, office productivity software, and basic data analysis to track account performance.
• Willingness to travel locally for client meetings and on-site engagements as required.
