Job Description
Responsibilities
Sourcing & Negotiation:
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and overseas suppliers to get the best prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Production & Demand Planning:
Work closely with Sales and Production teams to review demand forecasts and plan ingredient purchases.
Inventory Control:
Monitor stock turnover with warehouse and logistics teams to prevent overstocking, shortages, or expired perishable goods.
Quality & Safety Compliance:
Ensure raw materials adhere to food safety standards and regulations (such as HACCP or ISO guidelines).
Order Processing:
Handle purchase orders (POs), check delivery orders (DOs), and match invoices (three-way matching).
Reporting:
Prepare spending summaries, track outstanding orders, and report supplier performance to management.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education:
Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
At least 2 years of relevant purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within a food manufacturing, FMCG, or perishable goods environment.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and enterprise software like SAP or ERP systems.
Soft Skills:
Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities to handle vendor issues and cross-functional teamwork.
