JOB OVERVIEW:
The Facilities Technician will be responsible for supporting the daily operation, maintenance, repair, and upkeep of TODAK Academy’s facilities and premises. The role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance works to ensure all building systems, equipment, and facilities are functioning efficiently, safely, and in good working condition.

The candidate is expected to be hands-on, responsible, and capable of working independently as well as within a team environment. The Facilities Technician shall respond promptly to maintenance issues and support the overall operational readiness of the academy facilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance works for building facilities, systems, and equipment.

2. Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance works for:

• Electrical systems
• Plumbing systems
• Air-conditioning and ventilation systems (HVAC)

3. Conduct inspection and maintenance of:

• Water piping systems
• Toilets and sanitary fittings
• Water pumps and tanks
• Drainage and leakage systems

4. Perform servicing, troubleshooting, and minor repair works for air-conditioning units including:

• Split units
• Cassette units
• Ventilation systems

5. Monitor and maintain electrical systems including:

• Lighting systems
• Power sockets
• Circuit breakers
• Distribution Board (DB) panels

6. Inspect and monitor alarm and safety protection systems, including fire alarm systems, and coordinate repair or servicing works when required.

7. Assist in installation works related to electrical, plumbing, and air-conditioning systems when required.

8. Conduct routine inspections to ensure facilities comply with operational and safety requirements.

9. Attend breakdowns and emergency maintenance issues in a timely manner.

10. Perform general repair and handyman works including:

• Painting
• Carpentry
• Door lock repair
• Ceiling repair
• Furniture repair

11. Support event setup, equipment arrangement, and operational preparation for academy activities and programs.

12. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper organization of maintenance tools, equipment, and storage areas.

13. Record maintenance activities and prepare basic maintenance reports when required.

14. Ensure all maintenance works are carried out in accordance with safety procedures and company standards.

15. Perform any other duties assigned by the Management from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

1. Minimum qualification:

a. Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) or Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Air-Conditioning, Plumbing, Facilities Management, or related field.

2. Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities Management, or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.

3. Experience in building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, or air-conditioning systems is preferred.

4. Basic knowledge in electrical wiring, plumbing repair, and HVAC maintenance.

5. Able to use maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively.

6. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

7. Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.

8. Good teamwork and communication skills.

9. Willing to work overtime, weekends, or standby duties when required.

10. Possessing a valid driving license will be an added advantage.

Additional Requirements:

1. Fresh graduates with technical certificates are encouraged to apply.

2. Candidates with experience in facilities maintenance, plumbing, electrical, or air-conditioning services will have an added advantage.

3. Knowledge of workplace safety practices and maintenance procedures is preferred.

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
