Job Description

Responsibilities

ACT 3 Drama Academy | Singapore

Established in 1994, ACT 3 Drama Academy has spent over 30 years developing and teaching drama programmes for children. Our approach places drama at the centre of how children think, communicate and create.

We are looking for an experienced drama educator to join our teaching leadership team.

This is a senior teaching position for someone who is an accomplished practitioner, understands how children learn through drama, and can support other teachers in developing their practice.

You will teach children aged 18 months to 15 years across our Drama Academy, kindergartens and schools. Alongside your own teaching, you will help maintain high standards of classroom practice, mentor teachers and contribute to lesson development within ACT 3's established curriculum.

What we're looking for

At least 6 years of experience teaching drama to children.

A strong background in drama, theatre or education, through formal qualifications or substantial professional experience.

Excellent classroom facilitation skills and the ability to teach independently across different age groups.

Experience mentoring, guiding or supporting other educators.

Sound judgement, initiative and a thoughtful understanding of drama as an educational practice.

Position details

Weekend teaching is required.

Singapore’s leading Arts company for the young

ACT 3 International continues to build on the pioneering efforts started in 1984 as ‘ACT 3′ – a Children’s Theatre company.

Then, ACT 3 International was set up in 1994 with the intention of furthering its vision beyond the Singapore shores to touch the lives of the young through the Arts, not just as audiences but in the creative process as well.

Today, it works in both private and public sectors on a variety of Arts-based initiatives that have transcended theatre and moved into aspects where the Arts is juxtaposed with the environment, heritage and culture to form a holistic creative environment for a valuable experience of learning through the Arts.
