Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced English / IELTS Lecturer to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English and IELTS preparation classes, guiding students towards achieving their desired examination results, and supporting students throughout their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging and effective English and IELTS preparation classes.
• Prepare students for all four IELTS components: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, exercises, mock examinations and revision activities.
• Assess students' English proficiency and provide appropriate academic guidance and feedback.
• Monitor students' progress and implement suitable strategies to improve their IELTS performance.
• Prepare students for the actual IELTS examination and familiarise them with examination techniques and requirements.
• Provide additional support and consultation to students when required.
• Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, progress and assessment results.
• Participate in academic activities, workshops, seminars and other college events when required.
• Work closely with the academic team to continuously improve teaching quality and student outcomes.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in English, TESL, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching / lecturing experience, preferably with experience teaching IELTS.
• Strong knowledge of IELTS examination format, assessment criteria and preparation strategies.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• IELTS teaching qualification / certification or relevant English language teaching certification will be an advantage.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
• Passionate about teaching and able to motivate students from different academic backgrounds.
• Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, organised and able to work independently as well as within a team.
