Great ideas do not discriminate — anyone can have them. With the right protection and support, a great idea can become a trusted brand, a transformative technology, an innovative process or design, or even a song or story that inspires one’s soul.

Housing Singapore’s largest community of intellectual property (IP) experts, IPOS understands better than anyone how important it is to protect ideas and creations for now and the future. We leverage on our deep technical, legal and business expertise to help innovative enterprises grow, through their intangible assets, including IP, from Singapore, through Singapore. We catalyse the ideas today, into assets tomorrow.

About the Role

As a Senior Executive/Manager in Registries Operations & Systems, you will help shape the future of Singapore's IP registry services through process transformation, digitalisation and AI-enabled improvements. Working at the intersection of operations, technology and business transformation, you will translate operational needs into practical improvements and support initiatives spanning process redesign, system enhancements, automation and new ways of working.

The role combines hands-on exposure to Registry operations with opportunities to contribute to transformation projects that enhance productivity, service quality and user experience.

There is possibility to be emplaced on a permanent position.

What You Can Look Forward To

You will gain end-to-end exposure to Registry operations and transformation initiatives — from identifying operational challenges through to implementation and redesigning processes through to system testing, implementation, adoption and continuous improvement. You will build practical experience in operational management, process redesign, project delivery, digitalisation and stakeholder engagement, while contributing to the future of IP registry service delivery.

What You Will Be Working On

Job Responsibilities:
Registry Operations & Planning

Support Registry operations and review IP applications for statutory compliance.

Manage and coordinate departmental workplans, budget planning and related reporting.

Transformation & Systems Improvements

Support workforce planning and transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.

Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Testing for system enhancements and new digital capabilities.

Identify and coordinate process redesign, digitalisation and transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.

Support the rollout and adoption of new systems, digital tools and transformed workflows.

Coordinate stakeholder surveys and analyse operational data to identify service and process improvement opportunities.

Cross-Functional Support

Work flexibly across Registry functions to support emerging departmental priorities, transformation initiatives and operational needs.

What We Are Looking For

Write to us if you have/are:
Good written and verbal communication skills.

Comfortable working with data and translating operational information into actionable insights.

A keen interest in technology, automation and process improvement.

Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Detail-oriented and able to monitor deliverables and follow up on outstanding matters.

Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

The following would be advantageous: Experience in project management, process improvement, data analysis, automation or AI-enabled solutions.

If you do not have prior IP experience but are curious, adaptable and keen to learn, we welcome your application. Relevant Registry and operational knowledge can be developed on the job.

The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) is the national authority that registers and is responsible for the administration of IP rights in Singapore. IPOS helps businesses use intangible assets (IA) and IP to grow and is committed to building Singapore into an international IA/IP hub. We help to catalyse a future driven by life-enhancing, commercially successful ideas created by businesses, professionals and everyday people. We help to turn today’s ideas into tomorrow’s assets. IPOS is a statutory board under the Ministry of Law.
