Role Description The Student Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bukit Mertajam. The Student Assistant will support daily store operations, including organizing and displaying merchandise, restocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and orderly store environment. The role involves assisting customers with product queries, providing friendly service at the sales floor, and supporting cashier-related tasks as needed under supervision. The Student Assistant may help with basic inventory checks, price labeling, and preparing promotional displays. This position is suitable for students who can commit to full-time hours and are eager to gain experience in retail and customer service.
Qualifications

• Ability to provide courteous, patient, and helpful customer service in a retail environment.
• Basic numeracy and attention to detail for handling stock counts, price checks, and simple cashier support.
• Organizational skills to keep shelves, displays, and storage areas neat and well-arranged.
• Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Willingness to learn, with a proactive attitude and reliability in attendance and time management.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move light to moderate merchandise as required.
• Basic communication skills in English and/or local languages; prior retail or customer service experience is an advantage but not required.
• Current student or recent school leaver able to work full-time and comply with local labor regulations.
