MSc VACANCY! Master of Science (Dentistry)

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time, 2-year, on-site role for a Master of Science (Dentistry) student based in Kota Bharu. In this project, you will have the opportunity to conduct a randomized clinical trial (RCT)—the highest standard in clinical research—within a clinical periodontal setting. The study explores the use of an oxygen-releasing gel as an adjunct to conventional periodontal therapy, allowing you to evaluate its clinical efficacy through parameters such as probing pocket depth, clinical attachment level, and bleeding index.

Throughout the project, you will gain hands-on experience in patient recruitment, informed consent, and ethical conduct of clinical research, while enhancing your skills in data collection, scientific writing, and academic presentation.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Possess a Doctor of Dental Surgery or Master of Dental Surgery degree, with availability for full-time involvement.

2. Proficient in English, with strong communication skills; highly motivated and passionate about research and learning.

3. Must be registered as a full-time MSc student at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

4. Possession of a valid Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certificate will be an added advantage
