Hiring: Test Engineer – SSD Validation

Location: Singapore

Domain: SSD / Storage / Hardware Validation

We are looking for a Test Engineer to support the validation and testing of new SSD products under development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in functional testing, failure analysis, system setup, debugging, and test automation/manual testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of SSDs through both automated and manual test execution

• Execute complete validation and find-fix cycles

• Perform first-pass failure analysis and work with Validation Engineers to resolve test failures

• Modify and enhance functional test scripts to achieve targeted test coverage

• Conduct debugging and evaluation activities in collaboration with Firmware Engineers

• Set up test environments, systems, and servers for validation activities

• Perform black-box testing of SSDs across different laptop and desktop platforms

• Maintain and manage the validation lab while ensuring 6S standards are followed

• Tabulate test results and prepare reports for continuous firmware health monitoring

• Update test plans and communicate project status regularly

• Conduct debug and evaluation activities toward issue resolution

Qualifications & Skills

• Undergraduate degree in Computer, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering

• Experience with OS installation, laptop/desktop assembly, troubleshooting, and debugging is an advantage

• Basic working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux/Ubuntu

• Programming knowledge in Python or C++ is an added advantage

• Experience using Oscilloscopes and Bus Analyzers will be beneficial

• Knowledge or experience with SSD/storage technologies is advantageous

• Comfortable working in an ESD-protected laboratory environment

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work closely with Validation and Firmware Engineering teams
