Olympus Corporation Hiring! Full Time Senior Executive, Accounts | Singapore in - Ricebowl

We are seeking to appoint a full-time Senior Executive, Accounts to join our Operations Division, Finance team in Singapore.

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Accounts, you will be accountable for accurate financial reporting, effective period-end closing and oversight of Accounts Payable operations delivered by an outsourced service provider. You will also support internal stakeholders and provide backup assistance for payment processing.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Validating accounting postings and preparing journals, accruals, provisions, reclassifications and period-end adjustments
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis and variance investigations
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and processing asset capitalisations, transfers and disposals
• Administering cost centre and profit centre master data in SAP
• Completing quarterly GST reconciliations and supporting statutory reporting requirements
• Delivering timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities
• Preparing audit schedules and supporting internal and external audit activities
• Reviewing payment proposals and processing manual bank payments when required
• Resolving Accounts Payable queries from internal stakeholders and supporting finance projects as required

What we are looking for:

You will consider yourself to be a proactive, meticulous and collaborative individual with:

• A degree in Accountancy, Finance or an equivalent professional qualification
• Three to five years’ relevant experience in General Ledger, financial reporting and month-end closing
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and internal controls
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Microsoft Excel capability
• Working knowledge of SAP, with experience in an SAP environment preferred
• The ability to work independently and manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Exposure to Accounts Payable processes or outsourced service providers, which would be advantageous
• Previous external audit experience, which would also be advantageous
