Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Cantonese to English Interpreter. The interpreter will provide real-time interpretation between Cantonese and English during virtual calls, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate communication for clients in sectors such as medical, legal, and business services. Daily responsibilities include listening carefully to speakers, conveying messages clearly and neutrally, and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism throughout each interaction. The role also involves preparing for assignments by reviewing relevant terminology, following established call center protocols, and documenting session details as required. The interpreter will collaborate with supervisors and quality assurance teams, participate in ongoing training, and adapt to varying client needs and schedules within a remote work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong language proficiency in both Cantonese and English, including fluent speaking, listening, reading, and a solid grasp of grammar and vocabulary in both languages.
• Professional communication skills, including clear articulation, active listening, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to remain neutral and impartial in all interactions.
• Ability to work full time in a remote environment, manage time effectively, follow structured workflows, and maintain high standards of accuracy under pressure.
• Strong ethical judgment, respect for confidentiality, and adherence to professional codes of conduct related to interpreting and client privacy.
• Relevant education or training in languages, interpretation, translation, or a related field; professional certification in interpreting is an advantage but not mandatory.
